Varadero reached its million of international turists

For the sixth time , the first Cuban sun and beach destination , Varadero , reached at the end of last December its  million of international tourists , told  Luis Martinez de Armas to Radio 26, trade specialist from the Delegation of the Ministry of Tourism in Matanzas.

Martínez de Armas said that the months of November and December were essential to reach the figure . ” During this period we reported a substantial increase compared with 2012 .

” In general , we worked hard to implement a group of shares of our Ministry , aimed at encouraging issuers segments. These strategies served their purpose . However, the spa Matanzas remained lower than planned for the stage, ” he said.

During 2013 one of the leading sites in the global hotel management, TripAdvisor , included the Hotel Iberostar Varadero among the 25 best in the Caribbean , to be granted awards Travellers’Choice Hotels 2013. This distinction recognizes the quality of its offer , marked by luxury service and comfort plus unmatched professionalism stamp set their workers.

Moreover, after the purpose of providing the Matanzas spa excellence, the Ministry of Tourism opened the doors of bar restaurant La Bodeguita del Medio, located at Avenida Playa , btw 40 and 41.

With this new acquisition, the Playa Azul ten properties is the fact that under the signature of La Bodeguita Cuba has in Europe, Mexico , Costa Rica and Argentina .

Meanwhile, during 2014 the tourist region continue a group of very important investment for infrastructure and development of the sector in the Island

Renewal of road ; , construction at Las Conchas , planned as one of the tallest in the spa , including the underground line 110 Kv are located and the completion of Marina Gaviota complex , the latter designed as a of the most complete and best in the Caribbean , with capacity for 200 thousand berths and other benefits accruing to the new trends in the global hotel industry.

In Matanzas, the tourism sector contributes 40 percent of the revenue generated by the province , meaning more than 35 percent at the country level . It is the second economic activity on the island, a movement of two thousand 500 million dollars annually , located next to the services provided by Cuban doctors abroad, which reported about six billion dollars.
