Begins series the junior teams from Canada and Cuba

Baseball teams of sub-18 category from Cuba and Canada are starting on Friday a series of eight games in the Victoria de Giron stadium in the Cuban city of Matanzas, which will serve as preparation for the continental qualifiers, set for Mexico in September.

The Cuban team has trained in that facility and in the  Palmar de Junco historic stadium, from Matanzas city as well, under the direction of the graduate Luis Cuba Castellanos, who led the Cuban team in the last Baseball World Cup, held in Taichung, Chinese Taipei at the third position, while northerners were led by the experienced technical Greg Hamilton, seventh place in such tournament .

The program presented by the Cuban Baseball Federation provides for the first game this Friday at 4:00 pm; on Saturday 5th actions begin at 10:00 am with a double game; on Sunday 6th and on Monday 7th matches will begin at 4:00 pm, to play another doubleheader from 2:00 pm on Tuesday 8th and close single match on Wednesday 9th, also at 4:00 afternoon.

Opening day for the Cuban mentor said in adavance that Cionel Perez will be  a possible lefty pitcher , who debuted with only 17 in the last Seniors National Series with Crocodile team from Matanzas and he had an outstanding performance.

Canada comes with a roster of 24 players in which five players included in the bag of U.S. Major League Baseball (MLB) to appear this year. They are: Robert Rickoswki, Phelippe-Louis Pelletier, Zach Pop, Ben Onyshko and Mitch Robinson, captured by the Boston, San Diego, Toronto, Milwaukee and Miami, respectively.

The team repeated Cuba, the group represented the country in Taichung, gardeners Víctor Víctor Mesa. Julio Pablo Martinez, Luis Robert and Yunier  Diaz.
