The National Traffic Direction invites children and adults in the province of Matanzas, and across the country, to participate in its competitions, to contribute to the traffic education in Cuba, where the accidents on the street is the leading cause of death among five and 18 years old.
10 prizes will be awarded and the admission expires on August 30th,2014 while the winners will be recognized in November, during the celebration of the 51st Road Safety National Day.
One of the calls is aimed at children and adolescents through age, Cuban or 18 residents in the country, and has the backing of the United Nations Fund for Children.
In this case may involve teaching students in primary, secondary and higher in the genres of drawing, storytelling, poetry, marquetry, and ceramics, with works related to the prevention of traffic accidents average.
Filmmakers, designers, artists, comedians, writers, journalists, cameramen, photographers and computer specialists, professional or not, can also submit their material, published or unpublished, in the contest this year for adults.

These road users, the characteristics of age, neglect or ignorance of the rules, reiterate its infringement in the form of cross or remain on the street, inappropriate behavior on sidewalks, crossing between parked vehicles and disrespect to protective measures to lower or raise the vehicle.
