Vocational guidance of children and adolescents is one of the key links for the training of future professionals, hence the realization of the second edition of the Puertas Abiertas day which promotes the Electric Company of Matanzas. The event, which is organized and developed in collaboration with the technicians and specialists that are linked to the work of the distribution and control of electricity, was held with the participation of students from the polytechnic Industrial Ernst Thaelmann and José Martí elementary school, both from Matanzas city.
During the exchange a tour was conducted by the company with particular emphasis on the Territorial Office, where they were offered a simple explanation of the task performed at each position.
He also talked with students about topics of great importance: the safe use of electricity, energy saving measures and commercial services provided by the company.
For the development of this program audiovisual techniques were also used as the projection of commercials, documentaries and instructional practice of a demonstrative exercise.
Besides this day entitled Puertas Abiertas, the Electric Company of Matanzas maintains a constant link with all those young people who are interested in the daily work of the organization.
Proof of this is the encounter with young people from the company attached to the classroom, studying Electrical Technical Middle school Ernst Thaelmann.
The attached classrooms are a feasible way for the articulation of students with the companies they could develop their future work life; with this option already spent several years in practice the frequency of basic and technical subjects it fits.
