The XXVIII National Meeting of Yumurí Film Clubs begins on Tuesday in Matanzas city and will run until February 11th with film exhibitions, conferences, workshops and competitions; a range of activities related to the audiovisual world to give life to the main theaters and cinemas, in this encounter with the seventh art.
This year’s event is dedicated to the 90th birthday of Fidel Castro and Julio Garcia Espinosa, 55 of the victory of Playa Giron and the 30th anniversary of the Hermanos Saiz Association.
The competitive contest, national in scope, will bring together stakeholders to compete in the categories of: film-video, theoretical and moderators film-debate.
Sponsored by the Provincial Film Center Matanzas and the National Federation of Cinema Clubs of Cuba, brings together delegates from various provinces and provides workshops and conferences among which are: the filmmaker Alejandro Gil, who will address the theme of the documentary, characteristics of its spelling; the teacher Raul Rodriguez, film school, entitled: The photograph, an essential element in the visual and workshop Scripted art of communication, in charge of audiovisual Amilkar Salatti writer, to name a few examples.
The National Film Clubs Meeting will be held in an area of tributes, workshops and conferences: in educational centers in the video room cast Reynold Garcia and cultural center Abraham Lincoln. Moreover, the film will cover the Velasco movie programming with short films and video room and Pueblo Nuevo with a series devoted to the work of Julio Garcia Espinosa.
In the deployment of the matancero audiovisual presentation territory it is estimated at film clubs Cardenas, Calimete, Union de Reyes, Jaguey Grande, Pedro Betancourt and spaces linked to the film enjoyment in the provincial capital.
The inaugural event will take place at Velasco theater tonight, with an inaugural show includes shows of films Glasses Dark, director Jessica Rodriguez Sanchez, a Cuba-Spain co-production, which has in its cast with the figures of the stature of Laura de la Uz, Luis Alberto García and Mario Guerra, among other artists.
A cinematic journey invites moviegoers to a rapprochement with the audiovisual world, from the analytical view of new trends and the future of Cuban cinema, in the XXVIII National Meeting of Yumurí Film Clubs .
