Concludes in Matanzas the Youth Detachment Tour

After a fraternal exchange of two days by companies and institutions in the province of Matanzas concluded the tour of the National Youth Detachment, in order to celebrate the 90 years of life of our beloved Commander Fidel Castro Ruz in the whole Cuba and recall in every place the colossal work of this great man who has given everything for the good of his country.

The group consists of 90 young people selected from the National Detachment 55 Anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR). In the municipality of Cardenas they were in the cemetery of the town where the fighter Troadio expected Perez, who told them about the student leader Jose Antonio Echeverria and support from the university to the Revolutionary Directorate. To lay a wreath at his tomb Fidel recalled that on his first visit to the necropolis said: José Antonio, if you were alive you would be a more Commander of the Revolution.

Young people also visited the museums Oscar Maria de Rojas and Jose Antonio Birthplace and cultural complex at the Battle of Ideas. In the latter they could see the exhibition dedicated to the 90th birthday of Fidel, with photo exhibition that brings together the most significant moments in the presence of the leader of the Cuban Revolution in Cardenas, mainly when inaugurated this institution 15 years ago and visits by the return of Elian Gonzalez Brotóns.

The Destamento, accompanied by the provincial coordinator of the CDR in Matanzas, Osmany Sanchez Diaz, toured the city Matanzas Museum of the Slave Route, located in the Castle of San Severino, which deepened about the history of these men and women uprooted from their land and turned into slaves.

Young people also laid wreaths at the sculpture located in Freedom Park and in the Caimito of the Hanábana, where tribute was paid to the National Hero of Cuba in the place where he lived when he was nine.
