Matanzas delegation to the First National Conference of the Workers Union of Food Industry and Fisheries, scheduled from October 27th to 28th, was championed at the José Martí monument, in the famous La Libertad Park.
During the meeting a wreath was placed on the statue of the Apostle, where ten delegates and one guest were in favor of raising the efficiency and quality of production and economic processes with greater exigency, discipline and control, where the role is present union.
The general secretary of the guild in Matanzas territory, Mercedes Hernandez Morgan, in the exchange with the delegation, officials of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba, said they are prepared for discussion at the Conference, mainly about wage income, improved fleet in the dairy and meat industries and technological equipment flour derivatives.
The union leader referred to other issues, such as the development of political and ideological work in defense of the unity of all Cubans, the link with grassroots organizations and attention to young people who start working life.
He said that at the conference the role of the trade union movement and its related payment systems missions agreements XX Congress of the CTC will be analyzed, including; emulation; the work of innovative and rationalizing; the health and safety of workers’ collectives and industrial maintenance and investment.
