With great satisfaction the group of the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Matanzas hosted the Barrio Prize delivered by the coordinator of the CDR in the country, Carlos Rafael Miranda Martinez, the rector of this educational establishment, Laura Betally during the start of school year 2016-2017.
The award was instituted by the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution -CDR- in 1997 to recognize and encourage individuals, institutions and families who give tirelessly to the work of the organization.
Future teachers began a course proposed one of the biggest challenges: strengthening the quality of learning and vocational training in teaching careers.
The owner of the CDR, a member of the State Council of the Republic of Cuba, said that teachers, students and workers in general make reality the trinomial school, family, community onstage neighborhood unites us and identifies, in which we share sorrows and joys, we feed our dreams and we appropriate a story that was born on September 28, 1960 with the founding of the CDR by Fidel Castro Ruz.
He said that the Faculty of factors together with the neighborhood, working with the epidemiológica.así situation did volunteer work to eradicate microverteros, and covertir those spaces heritage city of Matanzas, and through ecological, cultural and other thematic projects fail difunsionales communities that are integrated into society.
The leader of the CDR exchanged with young students, who Matiena a detachment of volunteer blood donors, with more than 200 extractions aimed at saving human lives and for the development of drugs, which also includes teachers and workers.
According to Miranda Martinez said, young people are the successors of the CDR and this faculty is an example for other educational establishments. On behalf of the national secretariat of the largest mass organization in Cuba he congratulated them for winning the award del Barrio and wished them a good school year.
