Celebrate in Matanzas half century of Camilo Cienfuegos military schools creation

The political act and military ceremony on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Camilo Cienfuegos Military Schools was developed in this prestigious educational institution in the province of Matanzas, due to its comprehensive achievements, forming quarry moral and patriotic values in young people promote his vocation for military life.

It was chaired by Army Corps General Leopoldo Cintra Frias, Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR).

During the activity a group of officers and civil defense workers of these establishments, set in different Cuban territory, received the medal Ignacio Agramonte Second and Third Class and Combatant in the Production and Defense in recognition of the work uninterrupted for more than 35 years in these institutions.

Brigadier General Jorge Luis Mendez of the Faith, deputy chief of the Political Directorate of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, presented a certificate of recognition from the Ministry of the FAR to Matanzas military center, which in recent years has achieved efficiency and quality the educational process.

With a staff of highly professional teachers they instructed thousands of young bachelors of Arts and Sciences with a high cultural, sporting, military and political-ideological dominance.

It is noteworthy that the idea of the then Commander Raul Castro Ruz, minister of the FAR, to ensure a school for the children of the martyrs of the Revolution materialized on September 23, 1966 and admission to children of workers, peasants spread and military.

That premise was scheduled that opened the way, especially for young people with inclinations military life. They receive the name of Camilo Cienfuegos, as this brave guerrilla was always the image of the people.
