The new headquarters of the Provincial Prosecutor of Matanzas was officially inaugurated in Matanzas city.
After several years of a capital repair the building preserved, in part, its patrimonial values, architecture and layout of the beginnings of the XX century.
In this refurbished building was also held the national act for the 43 anniversary of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), which is held tomorrow December 23rd.
Darío Delgado Cura, Attorney General of the Republic, emphasized the merit of the workers who from different instances performed responsibilities in the conception, planning and projection of the work, in addition to the sacrifice and delivery to finish the work with the required quality.
He added that despite some material deficiencies they are creating better conditions for people for their professional life. Delgado Cura stressed that the legal sector in Matanzas has as a precedent the construction of the Popular Provincial Court with excellent conditions and this was another important task.
With an investment of just over five million pesos, the building is distinguished as a jewel of civil engineering and imposes challenges for other entities in the industry.
According to his investor, Juan Isaac Pérez Rodríguez, this is the second prosecution of similar structure in the country, that of Ciego de Avila is the first to be repaired and now that of Matanzas surpasses all expectations.
He considers that the presence of the members of the Enlarged Board of Directors of the FGR attending the inaugural event will be able to get an idea of what these centers should be in favor of the people and the processes that take place there.
The meeting was also attended by the Secretary of the Council of State, Homero Acosta Álvarez, the President of the Government in the province, Tania León Silveira; Roberto Ramos Delgado, provincial prosecutor of Matanzas and representatives of the legal sector.
