Guanima bridge repair is moving forward

The repair of the Guanima Bridge advances satisfactorily with more than 40 days of advance in its operations. To continue at this rate, the work will reopen for the month of April, in honor of the 56th anniversary of the victory of Playa Girón, confirmed the specialist María Elena Tabío Alfonso.
Workers and qualified personnel work on the second carriageway, from the northern location where they finished the assembly and for the moment focus their work on the tableware of placement of steel and concrete.
This is one of the most complex civil engineering projects facing the builders of the province since 2016.
The executive director Tabío Alfonso also pointed out that the rehabilitation of the viaduct is valued in millions of pesos, a figure destined to guarantee the material resources and all the necessary logistics.
The Guanima Bridge distinguishes as an important link of the tourist corridor of the city of Matanzas. Its reconstruction will favor the transit of the thousands of vehicles that cross the city every day.
