A total of 28 educators from the province of Matanzas, 26 of whom are teachers and officials of the governing body, participate in the 2017 Pedagogy International Congress, which until 3 February takes place in the Convention Center of the Cuban Capital. 2 are students of the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences of the University of Matanzas; Selected as direct invitees to the event to reach relevant prize in the past National Forum for students of the specialty.
The delegates of this territory to the conclave; Which the Ministry of Education (MINED) organizes on a biennial basis in coaspucio with other organizations and entities, will have the opportunity to present their papers, research or pedagogical experiences, in 14 of the 17 planned symposia and two of the 4 forums planned during the sessions of work
Raúl Hernández Galarraga, provincial director of Education in Matanzas, heads the representation of the territory composed of 9 teachers of different levels of education, two specialists working in the Centers for Diagnosis and Guidance (CDO) and Hygiene and Epidemiology and 5 officials in the sector ; All belonging to the municipalities of Jovellanos, Cárdenas, Pedro Betancourt, Perico, Colón, Martí, and Matanzas.
The payroll also includes 11 professors of the Higher Education, 2 of them work in municipal university subsidiaries and the rest belongs to the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences Juan Marinello; An institution that historically stands out for the participation and results of its academic staff in previous editions of this fifteenth international event, whose central motto is “For the unity of the Educators”
According to the Organizing Committee of the event, in Pedagogy 2017 will be exposed 1,945 investigations, of which 814 of Cuban professionals; While the largest number of foreign delegates come from Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador.
The scientific program includes, in addition to the presentation and debate of papers, panels, colloquia and conferences, visits to educational centers and scientific and cultural institutions of the Cuban capital.
The Congress will address diverse themes and vital to the teaching profession, such as vocational training based on social demands, the direction of the educational process, citizenship education and initial and ongoing teacher training, among others.
The present edition will be dedicated to the contribution of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro in the educational work of the Revolution, the 50th anniversary of the fall in combat of Ernesto Guevara and the 55 years of the Literacy Campaign, according to the organizers.
The main purpose of Pedagogy 2017, which until February 3erd is the exchange and socialization of scientific results in order to combine efforts, experiences and willingness to achieve a quality education for all, inclusive, pertinent and equitable. To more than 2,000 delegates from 39 countries, of whom more than 700 are Cubans.
