Olbeida Quintana, director of the Vocational Pre-university Institute of Exact Sciences (IPVCE) Carlos Marx, a member of the Matancera city, said that vocational training can never be distanced from academic content in any teaching.
The professor said that contributing to the orientation of young Cubans in terms of possible careers to study, ensures the country maintain high rates of professionals in different areas.
«It is a task that does not conclude once the teaching day ends, but requires the complicity of the family to achieve, among all, that the young student find the way to the realization of work,» said the teacher.
Melissa Dominguez, a student at the Jose Luis Dubrock Pre-university, said she perceives teachers’ concern about giving the apprentice enough information about one career or another.
