The municipality of Jovellanos deserved the headquarters of the provincial act for the 50th anniversary of the physical disappearance of Ernesto Che Guevara. As every year, the next October 8 will be a walk to the town of Ciro Redondo, because this is where the Heroic Guerrilla.
On this occasion various personalities will evoke their stamp and leaders of political and mass organizations will also highlight the validity of their ideas.
Guevara’s passage through Jovellanos was of great value because of his support for the diversification of industries, his impetus for the development of the Ciro Redondo People’s Council and the creation of the meat company there.
He also taught the importance of volunteer work and its relevance to sustaining the revolutionary work.
History, commitment and delivery are essential keys that united the brave fighter with the territory, an indelible mark that every year remember the inhabitants of the town.
Half a century after his death, Cubans safeguard the legacy of this tireless fighter as a sign of solidarity and intransigence, an example to follow for those who want to be like him from an early age.
