Symphonic homage to Che

Cuba gave him a symphonic homage because the country rises to remember Ernesto Guevara de la Serna. The concert hall José White de Matanzas together with other venues in the country gave rise to the patriotic melodies to remind the guerrilla, music and verses that showed the validity of a paradigm of all time.
The symphonic orchestra of Matanzas under the baton of the teacher Keyla Medina opened the program with the interpretation of the National Anthem, followed by the works Hasta siempre Comandante, by Carlos Puebla and Libertango, by Astor Piazzolla, which was joined by the powerful voice of Oliverio Aballí, who declaimed the verses of Nicolás Guillén, “Che Commander”.
An aside in the evening was deserved the award of the distinction La Tórtola, the outstanding matinee trumpet player Sergio Pichardo, founder of the Modern Music Orchestra of the Athens of Cuba, Yaguarimú group, composer, arranger and teacher of several generations.

Pichardo, in thanking the homage at a date so marked for the country, commented on the privilege he had as a matancero to interpret the touch of funeral silence by the death of Che in October 1967 and meant that at that time the piece Suite of America, another matador, Dámaso Pérez Prado, accompanied the moment of tribute.
