In order to spread the seed of creativity reopened its doors on Monday the school year for the career of Instructors of Art, in the Professional School of Arts of Matanzas, center that will function as headquarters of the specialty. Designed for three years of study the chair will work to train students over 18 and under 21 in the disciplines of music, literature and art talks. The continuity of the career articulates other ways to encourage artistic creation in the territory. “The students captured come with a profile more linked to culture. The peculiarity in this edition is that the boys will expand their work beyond pedagogy. They will dedicate their work as mobilizers of cultural processes to integrate directly into the community. The social transformation will be the objective of its presence in the different zones of its future locations, “said Yenisonia Muñoz, provincial vice-president of the José Martí Art Instructors Brigade. Muñoz also said that only those approved in music begin their preparation, given the insufficient presentation of young people for literature and visual arts. The students approved in these last two manifestations will maintain the link with the academy, to stimulate interest in the specialty. They are incorporated with greater preparation in the disciplines to maintain valid the Martian ideology of the need to propagate culture. Carlos Torrent Molina, provincial director of Culture, said that the opening of the race is a consolidated dream more than 50 years after the creation of the first generation of art instructors in Cuba. Torrent retook the words of Fidel Castro when in 2004 he described them as an “army of flag-bearers of culture”. Words used as a tribute to whoever was the main driver of the movement. The ten young people incorporated to the race begin with high expectations before the possibility of finding another option for those with facilities for art. In his condition as a conductor of processes of artistic creation, instructors are protagonists in each area of the Matanzas territory. The José Martí Art Instructors Brigade, from Matanzas, strengthens its ranks with the opening of its chair at the Art Professional School of the city. Young art lovers incorporated into the academy for three years to spread what they have learned as seeds of art that bear fruit.
