Siempre Contigo itinerant photographs exhibition is shown in Matanzas

The traveling exhibition of photographs entitled Siempre Contigo, which brings together important moments of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution with the workers of the country, was inaugurated on Tuesday in the city of Matanzas with an emotional political and cultural event held at the Museo Palacio de Junco.

In the presence of a large audience, Oria Moliner Pavón, member of the provincial secretariat of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC), was in charge of the opening words of the exhibition, which contains more than 30 snapshots of the Commander in Chief captured by photojournalists of the newspaper Trabajadores between 1959 and 1973 and show the Fidel of the people, who sat down to eat with the workers, to cut cane, which he shared with dissimilar collective labor, participated in voluntary work and in the congresses of the union.

Special moment of the activity was the dissertation carried out by the researcher and historian Gladys Pérez, recalling transcendental moments of the presence and imprint of Fidel in the province of Yumurina, as well as the leader who always trusted the workers, peasants and women, and he considered them vital within the strategy drawn from the first years of the Revolution.

The photo exhibition is part of the activities conceived by the union to pay tribute to the unbeaten commander one year after his physical departure, as explained to Radio 26 Marisol Fuentes Ferrer, head of the Department of Education and Propaganda of the National CTC.

“The first inauguration of this exhibition took place at the Palacio de los Torcedores Cultural Center or as it is known today, Museum of Cuban Workers, in Havana. From today on he will be for a week in Matanzas and will travel seven other provinces until arriving in Santiago de Cuba, where the ashes of our leader rest. “

When asked her opinion about the inaugural activity in the capital of Yumurina and the selection of the guests, the official highlighted:

“I am very excited with the words of the historian who highlighted the importance of Fidel for the Matanzas and very satisfied by the presence of the Heroes of Labor and the young people who participated in this opening. We know that the Provincial Committee of the CTC has conceived a program of visits so that students, labor collectives and the people in general can enjoy these images of Fidel and his links with the Cuban trade union movement. “

Attending the opening of the exhibition were Isdalys Rodríguez, secretary general of the CTC in the province, personalities and leaders of the town, a representation of the Labor Heroes of the territory and officials of the trade union movement.
