The construction of the Viaducto-Cuní vehicular intersection will have use value before the end of the year, an investment that exceeds one million pesos and is part of the actions for the Matanzas 325 Plan, according to Reynaldo Hernández Rodríguez, director of the provincial Center. of Roads in Matanzas.
“This work was affected by the passage of Hurricane Irma, but we resumed the activity on November 20 last. It is expected to finish the first phase this year, to continue working in San Sebastian Street and thus be able to link the roads of Tirry and San Luis to the vehicular link, “added the executive.
According to Hernández Rodríguez, the project is due to the reorganization of the city and until it is finished it will not start the pedestrian walkway of La Vigía.
“We are in the construction phase of the sewers and the storm drainage to finish what the earth movement is and proceed to asphalt. Next year we will continue with the storm drainage and the development of sidewalks and curbs. We hope to complete the intersection in February, although it will have value in use since December. “
This intersection is intended to link the Viaduct with the Pueblo Nuevo Popular Council and thus avoid vehicular flows in the historic center of the city.
