The start of the 58th National Baseball Series (SNB) and the Crocodiles, from Matanzas, are committed and ready to meet the objective of discussing the final of the championship again.
The people of Matanzas, although not with the same anxieties and expectations of years ago, wait for the referee to indicate play ball next August 10, to be carried away by the passion of the Cubans and succumb to their appeal.
A total of 40 players, of them five receivers, ten infielders, eight outfielders, 17 pitchers and in addition, 13 members of the management group, will be the payroll representing the Yumurina province in the nearby SNB.

Names like Lázaro Herrera, Yariel Duque and William Luis Campillo, return to the Matanzas team to add experience to a set that alternates between young players of the U-23 category and veteran figures in the team.
The training of the players has been based on rectifying the mistakes made in the last edition that left the final out of the crocodiles, intensifying the physical preparation, as well as the aspects and technical-tactical situations of the baseball game that can be presented in each shock.
Players like Anibal Medina, Yasiel Santoya, Eduardo Blanco, Ariel Sanchez, Royd Hernandez, and Yoenni Yera, perform their training in the ranks of the Cuban teams. While Yurisbel Gracial, Jonder Martinez and Ariel Martinez, will join the team as they return from the foreign leagues in which they are currently.
Only remains to wait for the beginning of the series to mark the path of the crocodiles to the fight for the highest seat on the podium, to pay off the debt they have with the people of Matanzas to give the first triumph with the name of Matanzas in National, after seven years of struggle and being in the elite of the greatest Cuban passion.
