The confrontation to climate change through the Life Task is based on scientific and technological results experienced for more than thirty years in the identification of current and future impacts in the area of the northern coast of Matanzas-Varadero-Cárdenas and Martí.
In order to counteract the possible damage to the environment, this vital plan of the Cuban State to face the changes at atmospheric level and climate is evident in a project that is executed, mainly, in these regions.
As indicated in the portal of the Cuban Science, activities aimed at solving difficulties in the improvement of the soils and the collection of solid waste, the rational use of water and compliance with the territorial ordering in these zones.
In relation to the improvement of soils, it is pointed out that to increase the agroproductive category and avoid erosion and salinization of them, thousands of hectares will benefit. These actions will allow up to seven types of environmental impacts of the so-called modern agriculture.
And with respect to the rehabilitation program of the hydraulic networks and the restoration of the safe water supply to the inhabitants of these localities, informed the entity that includes as a basic line the saving of the potable liquid.
The work with children and young people stands out in these actions, an aspect that contributes to raising the awareness of teachers and family members in order to preserve the environment.
