Within the program of celebrations designed in Matanzas to celebrate the 325th anniversary of the City of the Bridges, INNOVA Matanzas scientific event is unveiled, a festival that from October 10th to 12th will present options such as those of the Technological Science Park of the province.
“The Science and Technology Park of Matanzas as sui generis experience of the country have a group of companies that respond to the intention of improving the quality of life of the citizen with elements of innovation and technology.”
Accuracy of Julio César Serrano, president of the Association of Communicators of Matanzas, organization that is in charge of the design of the exhibition space of the meeting “We will develop exhibitions of the products and services of each entity, for example will be the software that will show the Youth Computer and Electronics Club, as well as the presentation of the Welfare project, which is nothing more than electronic government and products that CITMATEL has.
“Equally the public will be able to appreciate and interact with the technology installed in the territory; say the earth measurement system used by the Geocuba group and in the case of Radio Cuba or COPEXTEL all the communication elements that are vital in the current times”.
For students, particularly interested in scientific issues, spaces will also be established, said the president of the Association of Communicators of Matanzas.
“In the case of students who belong to circles of interest or scientific societies linked to the theme of the park, they will be able to access new technologies and thus be more motivated by the study of science.”
And it is that the Technological Science Park responds to the fundamental objective of managing the flow of knowledge and acting as a bridge between research and the market based on sustainable and creative economic activity.
A program that allows strengthening the statement made by Fidel on March 7th, 2006, in the act for the Fifteenth anniversary of the Central Palace of Computing: “Computing will become a very powerful scientific, economic and even political force of the country.”
