The province of Matanzas reports more than 600 tons of delay in the production of sugar foreseen in the technical-economic plan of the 2018-2019 harvest.
This result mainly affects the time lost as a result of electrical breakdowns and breaks in key areas of the industries.
According to Ricardo Sánchez Calero, director of the Matanzas Sugar Company, the territory can recover the arrears in the present month given the importance of this indicator in the economy.
In the case of the René Fraga Moreno power plant, in the municipality of Colón, the instability of the workforce and the derailments also affected production.
“The unit is committed today to the emerging workforce and seeks alternatives to provide the largest amount of grass in the harvest,” said Alfredo Perez, director of the industry.
On the other hand, the central Jesús Rabí, in Calimete, must stabilize efficiency and improve indicators such as purity in honey.
The colossus of Los Arabos, Mario Muñoz, excels in the production of refined sugar in western Cuba and its workers carry out repair actions in the turbo-generators, a critical area of the plant.
In Colón, Mexico, despite its unstable grinding as a result of breaks in the industry, shows efficiency indicators superior to the previous competition.
To stimulate workers in the sugar sector from next Thursday until Saturday there will be a competition of grinding and sugar production between the plants.
