Music in small formats in the White Room today.

Tamara Caridad Mesa González 30 marzo, 2019

From 3:00 in the afternoon today the White Room will host a concert where small formats will predominate. The presentation is part of the Festival of Young Musicians that has taken place since the beginning of this month in Matanzas to promote the exchange between the members of Matanzas´s formation and, in turn, with musicians from other groups in the country.

The Sonata number 2 of the Swedish baroque composer Jan Dismas Zelenka; Salve Regina, from the Austrian Franz Peter Schubert; The String Quartet, by Joseph Haydn and works by Mozart are part of the program in which the artists will perform galas of their academic preparation.

The soprano Vanesa Herrera and José Antonio Méndez Padrón, current director of the Matanzas Symphony, will be accompanied by the soprano Vanesa Herrera, who will take on this occasion the harpsichord, a keyboard instrument and horizontally arranged strings, dating from the sixteenth century.

In flute and bassoon and violin, viola and cello formats, people in Matanzas will be able to enjoy a presentation of the symphonic “sui géneris”. The public must also bear in mind that this will be the first of the concerts in which the entrance to the White Room will be charged.
