The Aragón Orchestra and Dr. María Victoria Oliver received the honorary prize of the 4th. Danzonero International Encounter Miguel Failde in memoriam, which will take place in the city of Matanzas until next April 7.

At the gala, the Simpsons Las Alturas project was performed by the group Mariachi Los Coyotes, the duet between Alejandro Falcón and the Argentine quenista Rodrigo Sosa, and the presentation of the company Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba.
In addition, the Matanzas public enjoyed the “mano a mano” between the Failde Orchestra and the Santiaguero Septet in the Plaza de la Vigía.As part of the general program of the event, the commemorative plaque of the 90th anniversary of the danzonete will be unveiled. Rompiendo la Rutina, near Gener and Del Monte libraries and the album Siempre tu voz, by Omara Portuondo and the Failde Orchestra.
Also, Miguel Nieto, owner of the Mexican Salon Los Angeles, will discuss this type of space for the diffusion of danzón in Mexico and Carlos Figueroa will give a lecture on the guayabera in Creole elegance.
