Issues such as the history of the FEU, internationalism, human rights and the role of youth in the development of world peace, were debated by the delegates of the V Meeting of Students of Other Nationalities Friends of the Revolution, which was held in the University of Medical Sciences in Matanzas.
The dialogue promoted by the conference of Dr Sc. Economics Delia Luisa López García began with a look at the figure of Ernesto Che Guevara as a revolutionary leader who dedicated his life to the struggle in the peoples of Latin America, moment that served for young people from Ecuador, the Congo, Brazil, Palestine, Mali, Cameroon, South Sudan and other countries reaffirm their commitment to promote justice in their villages and defeat counterrevolutionary movements.
“Friends of the Revolution is a very important event for us as it constitutes a space to express our support for the Cuban Revolution that welcomes us as its children. In Cuba we have brothers, parents, friends and teachers who give us all the support we need. I have had the opportunity to participate in other editions of Friends of the Revolution and I feel that each year is more beautiful, the dialogues are more interesting and we grow as true revolutionaries, “said Malian student fifth year of medicine at the University of Sciences Doctors of Havana.
Since its first edition, the University Student Federation has grouped young foreigners who are studying in Cuba to go through the pages of history and promote in them the values we inherited in 60 years of independence that in turn serve as a guide to promote changes in other towns.
