“Workers have to have greater participation in the preparation of economic plans and be more committed to the commercial movement, which means more products, higher quality, savings, efficiency, discipline and union functioning” -he emphasized.

The head of the CTC in Matanzas praised the decision of the country’s leadership to substantially increase the salaries of the budgeted sector, one of the main demands of Cuban workers that was addressed in the 21st Congress.

“Later on, the business sector will also benefit, for all of this we have to respond with an increase in efficiency, in labor discipline, in order to be able to contribute more and more to the Cuban economy”, he added.

He also valued as opportune and fruitful the days of reflection carried out in numerous groups, where the workers have condemned the hostile policy of the United States government against Cuba and in the face of aggressive measures have been pronounced for greater unity, more commitment to economic activity and not give up in the effort to build a better society and a nation for all.
