The Matanzas Alley of the Sacristy changes its image with the intense constructive work carried out by the ECOA 36 to greet the anniversary of the 26th of July.
Intense days of work done by workers, despite the rain of recent days that interferes with the purpose, to rescue this busy artery that connects the street of Medio and Milanés by the side of the cathedral of the city.
Part of the facades, the paving and the placement of the sidewalks enter the program, said José Miguel García Guerra, head of the work, who said they have the necessary materials for its completion.
In these tasks, it works in conjunction with Hydrology, ETECSA and other companies for the undergrounding of cables and installations that change the visualization of the small block.
While the settlement of this part of the city is being carried out, it calls for great attention that the granite sidewalks of Medio Street, a symbol of the city of Matanzas, will disappear.
The underground will make even more modern Matanzas, which by right was earned more than 300 years ago this qualifier, but in exchange will lose one of the attributes that identify it.
After completing the repairs in la Sacristía Alley, the constructive actions will continue in the third and fourth blocks of Medio, until reaching the Dos de Mayo street.
