The Ermita de Monserrate presents every Saturday of the month a space to cultivate the Spanish traditions in Matanzas named Between bagpipes and espadrilles.
Matanzas enclave receives in the summer a large part of the national and foreign public that seeks the connection with the history and the cultural values of it.
Its director, Milvia Lourdes Rivero Leisea declared to Radio 26 that in this summer stage they increased the number of visitors, concerts and musical activities are carried out, as well as promoting art and good manners from the true heights of Simpson.
The Ermita received the collective of the Islazul Hotel Chain to celebrate the work done so far. There, all their workers played the bell of good omen for the future of the hotel group, and reaffirmed the city as a tourist destination.
