Students and parents finalize details for the beginning of the school year; however, many are concerned about an issue that, although these days are controversial, will not prevent the opening of the new cycle of studies.
Shirts, skirts and pants are distributed in the Commerce network as part of the first stage of sale, there students are prioritized again to each teaching and sales are completed to continue with the rest of the schoolchildren.
In the province of Matanzas the municipalities of Calimete and Unión de Reyes are more affected where the absence of some garments has prevented the fulfillment of the first stage. However, others like Pedro Betancourt culminates this cycle in pre-university education and will soon begin the other phase of the sale.
Roberto Ramos Amaya, head of the ATM department of the provincial Directorate of Education, reported Radio 26: “Next week, the industry is expected to deliver the rest of the garments, this will allow students to receive their uniforms in the second stage of sale they can buy the clothes soon.
«Despite the delay in the absence of raw materials and transportation, all students will receive new uniforms this school year.» The network of Commerce also works to solve the needs of the sizes, another one of the questions that worries to the Matanzas, since the available ones are very small with respect to the demand.
«Once the uniform is acquired, it can be changed,» Ramos Amaya added. The country’s leadership follows this issue closely. The progress of sales is checked every week. Producers and suppliers, together with the Ministry of Education, join forces for students to show their new uniform this year.
