The 2019-2020 academic year of the Provincial School of the José Smith Comas Party, in Matanzas, was inaugurated on the afternoon of this Monday, September 2nd, with a program that reminded the figure of the Commander in Chief, forerunner of this type of teaching.
Arianna Rodríguez Hernández, student and reserve of the labor movement, was in charge of pronouncing the words on behalf of the students. There was also a cultural moment by Karenia Pérez Carmenate, who performed the song Happy day.
The opening of the teaching year was in charge of Clovis Ortega Castañeda, campus director. In his speech, Ortega Castañeda pointed out that the previous year 86,260 leaders, officials and workers received training actions through the Party’s school system.
Among the challenges of the largest center of political studies in the province is the realization of 34 national programs, including the Bachelor of Social Sciences and the Master in Sociopolitical Studies.
In the presidency of the act were members of the provincial Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the first secretaries of the municipal Committees, headed by Liván Izquierdo Alonso, first secretary of the PCC in the province.
