Ready for service.
Tamara Caridad Mesa González 13 septiembre, 2019As stated in the Round Table by the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and the Minister of Energy and Mines, Raúl García Barreiro, there is no established blackout program in the country and if necessary adopt this strategy the population will be informed in a timely manner.
This is the reason why it is reiterated that the effects on the electric service are due to interruptions in the transmission networks and not due to generation deficits.
In keeping with this situation in Matanzas, explained Jesús Rey Pérez Crespo, director of the Electric Company, attention is prioritized in the control of breakdowns to the municipalities of Matanzas, Cárdenas and Jovellanos.
For this, there are service and electric guard cars for the change of damaged transformers, arrangements for false contact in the connections, meter meters, in addition to the transmission lines and sub-transmission networks.
To this is added the activation of the communication system of the mechanisms already established as 18888, known by the population and others as the local radio, social networks and the portal of the citizen of Matanzas.
Through them, said Pérez Crespo, the Matanzas can report the impact they have with the electric service or recommend actions to be applied, for example, in places where public lighting – due to system failures – remains on during the day.
