For the first time, the XII National Home, Symbols and Identity Workshop will be held on a national basis, on October 23 at the University of Matanzas, with the objective of deepening the elements that make up the Cuban national identity.
Together with the house of high studies, the Scientific and Technical Computerization Directorate and the Association of Pedagogues of Cuba summon to the appointment, in greeting to the Day of the Cuban Culture and to the recent approval of the Law of National Symbols.
Marianelys Fonte Pacheco, secretary of the organizing committee, confesses the expectations she has with this event and highlights its importance regarding the Ibero-American Year of the Archives, whose theme will also devote a space.
The debate will revolve around Cuban identity as race, sociocultural legacy, language, tourism, pedagogical work, cultural manifestations, history, and preservation of the environment, socialism and the thought of José Martí.
