Offer special bonus until October 13th, Bank Worker Day.
Tamara Caridad Mesa González 11 octubre, 2019On the occasion of October 13, the 59th anniversary of the nationalization of banking in Cuba and the Day of Workers in the Financial Sector in the country, the addresses of the Bank of Credit and Commerce (BANDEC) and the Popular Savings Bank (BPA) in the province of Matanzas announce the ten percent bonus up to the aforementioned date, to natural persons with a magnetic card associated with savings, salary and stimulation accounts, as well as those of retirees and pensioners.
The initiative, which was implemented as of October 10th and will be in force until next Sunday, seeks to encourage the use of magnetic cards as a means of electronic payment in commercial units and offices.
The aforementioned ten percent discount covers the payments of products and services that these days the users of the BPA or the BANDEC make in the network of foreign exchange stores, such as in coffee shops, restaurants and other establishments, where they have enabled the terminals of points of sale (POS).
According to Radio 26 Ailín Lozano, Communication and Marketing manager of the Provincial Directorate of BANDEC, the bonuses favor purchases made in both CUP and CUC and remain permanently at 5 percent during the year, but on special dates they increase to ten. On this occasion it was applied in greeting to the Day of the Banking Worker.
She pointed out that the delivery of magnetic cards is one of the measures implemented by the Banks with the purpose of supporting and strengthening electronic commerce and the Computerization Policy of the company.
In the territory of Matanzas, BANDEC has issued more than 109 thousand of these cards; the majority in the modality of salary and should be increased as a means of payment much more economical, efficient and safe, since it facilitates various services and minimizes the use of cash, an important objective for the banking sector.
The specialist stressed that Bandec continues to encourage the use of this accessory for retirees and pensioners due to the many advantages it reports, including the possibility of charging the checkbook.
She also explained that customers who own this electronic medium and who in turn own a Multibanca card, have the facility to use them in the rest of the existing payment channels, among which are: Telephone Banking, Virtual Bandec and Transfermóvil, a service that allows users with cellular telephony to carry out various operations such as payments to ONAT, electricity, telephone, among others.
According to the information, users will be able to verify the bonuses received and the current status of their balance through the option: Last Operations in ATMs, through the Transfermóvil application or through calls to the Telebanca service.
