Inspired by the maximum government of “quality is respect for the people”, the specialists of the Territorial Office for Standardization (OTN), of Matanzas, designed a program of activities that is inserted between the objectives of the Month of Quality.
The day, which takes place in October of each year, highlights actions such as the training course for environmental auditors, carried out for workers at the Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport, in Varadero, and the training on integrated management systems and good practices of food handling, directed to the Circle of Scientific Journalism of the province.
To these improvement exercises, which are developed by experts from the OTN, others are added about the interpretation of Cuban standards; the requirements to be met in the testing and calibration laboratories, in addition to the exchanges with representatives of state entities and non-agricultural cooperatives.
The provincial act for World Standardization Day also stands out in the program, which will take place next Monday to recognize outstanding companies in quality management and workers with ten or more years of experience in this task.
For next October 30th, said Jesmy Mondéjar Reyes, institutional communicator of the Territorial Office of Standardization, reserves the launch of the call for the Provincial Quality Award.
This entire program, Jesmy added, responds to the intention of raising the quality of services and products in the province and thereby contributing to the increase in exportable funds.
This also honors the thought and initiatives of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, a leading figure of quality in Cuba, who during his performance as Minister of Industries created the quality committees, the administration manual and the new socialist concept of quality.
To these contributions, added the specialist, Che added the management for updated technical information and the approach of workers and managers towards excellence.
