Overcrowding Matanzas export plan for goods and services.
Tamara Caridad Mesa González 16 octubre, 2019The western province of Matanzas concluded last August with an over-compliance of six percent of its plan of exportable funds for goods and services, representing an increase of nine million 975 thousand 500 convertible pesos.
Members of the Provincial Exporting Group weighed the amount of exportable items obtained in the first eight months of the current year, a total of 23, more than the 15 agreed.
Entities belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture had a fundamental weight in this positive balance, in particular the manufacturing corresponding to the export-importer pole of the Victoria de Girón Citrus Company, in Jagüey Grande. Overproduction also influenced other productions such as honey and charcoal.
In spite of the good performance of exportable funds in Matanzas, the amounts registered do not please, according to the meeting of the Provincial Exporting Group, where the immense potential of the territory was recognized, with enormous wealth to place products and services in international markets.
Exports and import substitution rank among the country’s strategic lines.
