The province of Matanzas was the most awarded in the XXXVI national edition of the Winter Festival, convened by the Cubanacán cinema club, of Villa Clara, held in the city of Santa Clara during this month of November.
Matanzas delegation won thirteen awards from the 20 granted in the genres documentary, cartoons, photography, edition, soundtrack, original music, spot, public good, female acting and video art, among other audiovisual modalities. In addition, as part of the theoretical event he won the prize the presentation of Eloílda Flores Rodríguez, from the Ramón Vega cinema club, in the Calimete municipality.
Vladimir Pérez Padrón, president of the film club subsidiary in the Matanzas region, explained that due to the results, the province is leading the National Federation of Cinema Clubs of Cuba (FNCC).
And he announced the next edition of the Yumurí National Festival, which will take place during the second half of May 2020 and will be dedicated to greeting the 35 years of the institute of the FNCC.
