The first secretary of the provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Liván Izquierdo Alonso, and the president of the Assembly of Popular Power, Tania León Silveira, congratulated the workers of the radio station Radio 26, a plant that arrived at its 60th anniversary.
The audience manager Yeleine Lemus and the sound director José Oquendo Gurri received recognition on behalf of the group, which, according to the secretary himself, contributes to the revolutionary work.
«The transmitter of your heart», as identified in Matanzas, was purchased in 1959 by the July 26 Movement, but it was not until December of that year that the provincial radio station was formed with its current name.
As part of the celebrations for the 60 years of existence, recognized founders and workers have been recognized.
