Celebrate Radio Ciudad Bandera 92 years founded.

Tamara Caridad Mesa González 24 diciembre, 2019

Radio Ciudad Bandera, the most active veteran radio station, celebrates its 92 anniversary with the delivery of the Voice and Dream Distinction to the broadcaster María Josefa Cernuda Pedreira due to her performance in the profession for over 50 years and other relevant awards she treasures for The quality of your work.

Roberto Antonio González, head of the plant’s programming, states that among the collateral activities of this celebration, the eighth edition of the theoretical event Argilio Rodríguez González was carried out, dedicated to the historical programming of the radio station and television. On the other hand, the speakers and sound directors were honored, the latter committed daily to the edition of the work of the team of journalists and correspondents of several municipalities.

The director also mentioned several programs that are of the preference of the listeners, such as the magazine Arriba, of social facilitation, dedicated to inform about sales and purchases, what the gastronomic, cultural and sports centers offer, adding the Woman program , dedicated to the family, among others.

It is worth remembering that on December 25th, 1927, from the residence of Hurtado de Mendoza, on Cossío Street between Calvo and Suverville, the first air out of this plant was made and subsequently broadcasts with limitations on the transmission of music from The time and small comments. In this context an account phonograph with a telephone capsule was used as a microphone.

The rudimentary equipment had as a power source two dry batteries of 25 vol each. Later, Genaro Sabater Fox owned an accumulator workshop, whose batteries were useful for the transmission of Radio City Flag and were more durable than the originals.

As every year, on December 25th, Radio Ciudad Bandera listeners visit the plant and exchange with the group about the daily program that airs. We are sure that this station will continue to be in the preference of its people. Congratulations to all of them.
