In the presence of Víctor Fidel Gaute López, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and head of its Ideological Department, the construction and remodeling work that was carried out during 2019 at the provincial radio station of Matanzas Radio 26, mainly in charge of the Non Agropecuarian Cooperative SANCOF.

Liván Izquierdo Alonso, first secretary of the PCC in Matanzas, together with Alfonso Noya Martínez, president of the Ccubano Institute of Radio and Television; Onelio Castillo Corderí, National Director of the Cuban Radio and Ricardo Ronquillo Bello, President of the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC), among other authorities who met at the provincial station, found the new and renewed image of the Matanzas broadcast media.

The directors of the ICRT and the Cuban Radio awarded distinctions to the radio medium and its closest neighbor, the TV Yumurí tele-center for its constant work in education and identity formation in the Matanzas town. Likewise, the UPEC management recognized the station for its constant work for 60 years informing the revolutionary people.

They also granted the distinction Master of Radialists to the journalist José Miguel Vázquez Rodríguez, chief of information of Radio 26, and once again highlighted the imprint of figures such as Manolo García, Magalis Bernal, Francisco “Pancho” Soriano, and many others that without a doubt they constitute standards and faithful examples of determination and professionalism for the new generations.

After a tour of the remodeled spaces of the institution and an exchange with members of the cooperative responsible for the work, executives of the province of Matanzas and its parent plant, Víctor Fidel Gaute López, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee and Head of Your Ideological Department. He expressed his final considerations before those present at the event.
