By decision of the authorities of the western province of Matanzas, agricultural and commercial fairs will be resumed, an alternative in high demand due to the possibility of accessing agricultural and processed foods.
The popular fairs will return to their usual venues at Plaza XIV Festival, the Reynold García cast, Versalles, the viaduct square and El Bosque, a decision designed to increase product offerings to the Matanzas population.
The option is approved in the phase of new normality in which this territory is, but it requires extreme biosecurity measures to avoid contagion of Sars-Cov-2, insisted Liván Izquierdo Alonso, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.
Mario Sabines Lorenzo, governor of Matanzas, insisted on the concurrence of the productive forms and the mini-industries so that the offers are diverse, as well as they suggested the sale of prepared and ready-to-eat food.
Among the details offered for the return of the agricultural fairs on Sunday, it was advocated for the exclusion of the sale of alcoholic beverages and for compliance with strict hygienic-sanitary and disciplinary measures.
They also insisted on the performance of comprehensive inspectors and Agriculture to protect consumers and avoid deception, knowing that there is no better inspector than a well-informed customer, which means finding out about prices so that no one admits that you cats pass for hares.
For epidemiological reasons related to the new coronavirus and in line with the country’s policy, in March it was decided to suspend the agricultural and commercial fairs based in the municipalities of Matanzas and Cárdenas.
