People in Matanzas farewell to baseball player Felix Isasi (+photos)
Félix Isasi Mestre, one of Cuba’s baseball legends, died at the age of 78 in the city of Matanzas.
Known for his controversial hidden ball play and his speed as a runner, Isasi left an indelible mark in domestic championships and international tournaments with Team Cuba.
For his remarkable career as an athlete, Isasi was also recognized by the island’s sports authorities.
His death has been mourned by sports authorities, specialized journalists and Cubans in general.
