Renewed call for entries for the 50th anniversary of the People’s Courts Competition.
The deadline to participate in the National Contest for the 50th anniversary of the creation in Cuba of the People’s Court System, founded on December the 23rd, 1973, is October 31st, according to the Facebook page of the judicial body in Matanzas.
The Governing Council of the Provincial People’s Court (TPP) specifies that works related to the history or the work of these important institutions, the professional performance of magistrates, judges, managers and officials of the judicial body, as well as their achievements, transformations and current challenges must be submitted.
According to the rules of the contest, professionals and employees of the court system, jurists from other institutions, students and professors of law and technical courses and individuals may participate, provided that the works submitted address issues related to the judicial activity.
According to the call issued last June by the People’s Supreme Court (TSP), contestants can submit as many works as they deem appropriate, in the genres of Literature, which includes essay, short story, sonnet or poetry; Journalism, which includes story, testimony or chronicle; Photography; Audiovisual; Plastic Arts, with painting, drawing, caricature or sculpture; Poster and computer graphics and musical composition.
Before the closing date, October 31st, the works must be delivered at the Secretariat of the TPP of Matanzas or at the headquarters of the Supreme Court, in printed format or in digital storage support, or sent by e-mail to concurso50aniv@tsp.gob.cu.
The jury of the contest, made up of prestigious specialists in the genres involved, will be in charge of selecting the winning works and the prizes and mentions will be announced within the framework of the central activities for the 50th Anniversary of the People’s Court System, to be commemorated in December.
