Universities in Matanzas and Russia for the promotion of young literature.
The Pablo Neruda Literary Creation Workshop Project of the University of Matanzas, together with the Nicolás Guillén Center for Linguocultural Studies of Latin America and the Caribbean, which belongs to the Moscow Linguistic University in Russia, are calling for the Cuba-Russia Binational Narrative Contest.
This was announced by Yasnier Hinojosa, head of the Department of Institutional Communication of the University of Matanzas, on social networks, who added that the contest aims to stimulate the reading and writing processes among young people from both universities and in their respective communities.

The call is aimed at young people from both countries between the ages of 16 and 35, whether or not they are university students. Those interested can send by e-mail a notebook of original and unpublished narrative texts, under a pseudonym, with a length between 10 and 50 pages, in Spanish in the case of Cuban contestants and in their mother tongue for Russian contestants, respectively.
They must also submit a file with their personal data, including a brief curriculum vitae, a copy of their identity card or ID card, telephone number and e-mail address. The prize consists of the publication in physical format of the winning text, as well as its translation into Russian and Spanish by the Moscow Linguistic University.
The Pablo Neruda Literary Creation Workshop Project of the University of Matanzas was created in the 1996-1997 academic year as a space for the dissemination of young literature at the university and now invites lovers of writing to participate in this collaborative contest with the Moscow Linguistic University.
