Precisely in the 5th of August Hall, the most recently created, pieces, monograms, awards, objects and photographs recall the gray and painful days lived by the province and the country after that fire, where several people lost their lives and whose funeral honors took place in this Museum.

In its other exhibition rooms you can appreciate objects belonging to the sanitary music band and the dispensary for poor children; original emblem of the barracks, horn and helmet related to the figure of Enrique Estrada.

There are also pieces of great patrimonial value such as the Matanzas pump, brought from New York on February 1st, 1864, the first to operate in the city, and the Lanzacabos cannon from the end of the 19th century, very useful in case of floods.
