Islazul quality workshop shows commitment to excellence.

An expression of the Islazul Hotel Group’s commitment to the continuous improvement of its facilities was the II National Quality Workshop (TNC), held from February 21st to 23rd in Cuba’s main seaside resort.

According to participants, it was a profound exercise in learning, training and an enriching exchange of experiences among professionals who are committed to the joint search for solutions and continuous growth.

Along with the analysis of the results of 2023 and the analysis of the projections for 2024, the quality of the services provided was the subject of intense debate, which is fundamental for raising the reputation of tourism products, winning over clients and ensuring that they return to repeat the experiences they have had.

Julio Salve Vidal, director of training of Grupo Hotelero Islazul, said in his speech that it is essential to offer unrepeatable tourist experiences, as well as the possibility of having the best professionals, a vocation for service and a culture of attention to detail.

Delivered by Professor Milton Francisco González Zayas, deputy director of the Varadero Tourism Branch Training Center, Proaction versus Reaction: The Dilemma of Quality Management and Customer Service, was one of the presentations with the greatest impact due to its repercussion on the processes of the leisure industry.

The event’s program also included a dialogue on Professionalization as a fundamental pillar in the quality of services, a master lecture by Dr. C William Garbey Matos, representative of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) at the International Aeronautics, and How to determine the Quality of the services provided in a gastronomic facility, by sommelier Jesús Fernández Rodríguez, food and beverage specialist at the Islazul Havana Branch.

In order to verify best practices, the participants in the II TNC toured the facilities of Starfish Varadero and Iberostar Selection Varadero, owned by Cubanacán, the latter of which won the Ibero-American Quality Award and is ranked among the favorite hotels of the famous Playa Azul.

The closing ceremony of the II TNC, held at the Islazul Acuazul-Varazul hotel complex, was attended by Nastia Valdés, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism in the province, the president of the Islazul Hotel Group and other executives of that body and of the territories.
