With the support of their fans, in the grounds of the Victoria de Girón Stadium, Los Cocodrilos de Matanzas were crowned champions of the II Elite League of Cuban Baseball in the sixth final duel against Los Cazadores de Artemisa 12×5.

The team led by Armando Ferrer won its second title of the season.
Armando Ferrer’s team won its second crown in the last five years, bringing to seven the number of trophies won in the history of the national classics.

The team led by manager Yulieski Gonzalez made the lumber sound from the first chapter where they scored three runs, while the Cocodrilos countered in the lower part of the same inning to embrace the scoreboard.

Artemisa added two runs in the third inning to expel right-hander Renner Rivero who once again could not dominate the decisive game in a final, however in the fourth inning Ferrer’s team cut the distance from their rivals with a pair of runs.

However, the Matanzas fought their game with the flavor of a title and sought to widen the scoreboard by attacking the opposing defense by combining good offense, in addition to excellent work by Noelvis Entenza and Frank Luis Medina.
