Rescuing the foundational mission of the family doctor’s and nurse’s office is the objective of the visit of Commander José Ramón Machado Ventura to Matanzas province.
Apart from the real needs and limitations that the country is experiencing today, the Commander explained, what is detrimental to the proper functioning of these services should be reviewed.
Deficiencies such as the completion of the basic working groups, the deficit of supplies and reagents, and the lack of spaces with the real conditions to attend patients, are the main problems affecting the above-mentioned health institutions.
Transforming the link with the sectors of the community and the feedback with the population on the perception of the work of the clinics is fundamental for the fulfillment of the program.
Susely Morfa, high party representative in Matanzas, urged for a closer link with patients and to emphasize attention to each vulnerable family.
Beyond medical assistance, the doctor and the nurse at the doctor’s office must complement a program and fulfill the objectives for which it was created, because progress is being made in the territory, but there is still much to be done, concluded Morfa González.
