The cycling tour comes back to Cuba once again and it already smells the new asphalt on the old ways of this island . It smells tar and a few patches on the Central Highway on the eve of this sporting event.

Some do not even remember the feat of Sergio “Pipián” Martinez in that distant 1964, when he became the king of the Cuban road, but people do gossip about ancient scars and bumps that are on the faces of our streets.

Drivers expect February with best tires because there will be a clear track and a respite breaks at least for a while. They say the road would be nothing without the cycling around and around is another matter since there are no roads.

A twister well thought on management tanteada to repair our streets and roads. And so, from event to event and visiting cards, delivering investment is timed irregular schedules.

Inaugurated works for ministerial or asfaltamos streets for an operation using high caliber as the Cycling Classic-Guantánamo-Havana and Pinar del Rio while visiting, life goes on.

The road from the Vocational School of Sciences remains an impassable road for buses and trucks, the problem of patching is an eternal debt accountabilities of each neighborhood and the streets accumulate more scars and patches on their faces.

The Cycling Tour brings relief for roads that every February  expects  a blush to camouflage the burden of years and not perish to sway hundreds of almond trees, harrows and trucks.

The smell of tar on the Central Highway. Equipment ranging from side to side crushing gravel and asphalt mixing. Traffic slows down a bit, people will gossip and stillness, inertia, old scars become ill. The roads would be nothing without the cycling around and around is another matter since there are no roads.
