Revolver that belonged to Carlos Manuel de Céspedes. It was given to him by the patriotic Carmelite Emilia Casanova, wife of Cirilo Villaverde, in January of 1871. It is exhibited in the Hall of Memories of the Wars of Independence of the museum.
Workers from Oscar María de Rojas Museum, in Cárdenas, commemorated the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the wars of independence with a political act in which testimonies from that time were exposed.
In a symbolic way, the original proceeding of the founder of that institution was retaken: Oscar María de Rojas, to formalize before the public notary the transfers of the pieces.
In this sense his workers signed a document for the donation of the revolver of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes to the birthplace of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes in Bayamo.
This piece was restored by the artisan Raudel Companioni González.
