The eleventh Assembly of People’s Power took place in Unión de Reyes in the last hours with the presence of Vice-Admiral Julio César Gandarilla Bermejo, Minister of the Interior and deputy for this territory to the National Assembly.
The space was conducive to addressing issues of special interest such as social indiscipline and the need to emphasize the importance of offering a multifactorial response to this problem and involve in it the agencies, institutions, political and mass organizations, as well as the population.
Another of the most debated aspects was the urgency of diverting the flow of cane transportation around the town of Unión de Reyes, as it causes serious damage to the old water pipes and conduits that are buried in the main arteries and thus maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the streets.
During the meeting, held at the Casa de Cultura Pablo Quevedo, attendees received information about the follow-up to the expansion of the cemeteries of the Popular Councils of Cidra, Cabezas and Bermejas, and especially, the renovation of the cemeteries belonging to the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution.
